Adult Education at St. Jude
Recently, we've begun to launch opportunities for adults (of all ages) to grow in their faith. We call it "Deepen the Well", chances for you to ask questions, learn more about what are faith teaches, learn why we do what we do, gleam positive messages from a culture that doesn't offer a ton, and raise our gaze to the Good, the True and the Beautiful, God himself. Through our regular events we hope we can gather as a community to bond in fellowship and faith. Here on the Website we'll have links so you can grow on your own and at your own pace. The aim is the same, help you to grow deeper in love of your faith and closer to God.
Why "Deepen the Well"?
We all come to our Catholic faith from different levels of understanding. Our aim, through our Adult Education events, is to deepen that level of understanding; answer your questions and embolden you to answer the ones asked of you; whether they're from your children, grandchildren, friends or whomever. At the end of Mass we all commissioned to spread the Gospel to the world. Many of us find that commissioning daunting. "That's not my charism, that's not my gift". Moses made the same argument to God as to why he shouldn't be sent back to Egypt to become God's messenger. These events and opportunities to grow in your faith are designed to not only help you grow in your faith and in love of God, but also to strengthen your own confidence and knowledge of your faith. The deeper your well the more everyone can drink.
